How to Change Lighting Options on a Hikvision ColourVu Analogue Camera

  1. Access Live View
Click on the camera's Live View.

  2. Open PTZ Controls
Right-click anywhere on the Live View and select PTZ Controls from the menu.

  3. Access the Camera Menu (OSD Menu)

    • On the right-hand side, you’ll see a list of presets.

    • Scroll down and click on Preset 95.

    • Then, locate the Iris+ button in the PTZ control panel – it looks like a circle with etched lines around the edge.

Note: The Iris+ button functions as the “Enter” button.

  4. Navigate to 'Smart Light' Settings

    • Once the camera's on-screen display (OSD Menu) appears, use the Up and Down arrows in the PTZ controls to navigate to Smart Light.

    • Press the Iris+ button to select it.

  5. Change the Lighting Mode

    • Use the Left and Right arrows to switch between the lighting options:

      • Auto – Turns on from dusk till dawn.

      • On – Light stays on continuously.

      • Off – Light remains off at all times.

Note: When using the "Off" option, ensure there is sufficient ambient lighting (e.g., streetlight or PIR floodlight), otherwise the camera may not produce full-colour images.

  6. Save Your Settings

    • Once you've selected the desired lighting mode, use the Up/Down arrows to navigate to Save & Exit.

    • Press the Iris+ button to confirm and save your changes.
