How to Playback Footage on Hik-Connect

Step 1: Open the Hik-Connect App

• Launch the Hik-Connect app on your mobile device.
• Log in using your Hik-Connect username and password, if prompted.

Step 2: Select Your Device

• After logging in, you'll see a list of your connected Hikvision devices.
• Tap on the CCTV or DVR/NVR from which you'd like to view the recorded footage.

Step 3: Access Playback Mode

• Once you've selected the device, you'll see a live view screen.
• Look at the bottom of the screen and tap the "Playback" icon.

Step 4: Select Date

• A calendar view will appear. Select the date for which you want to view footage. Dates with available recordings usually have a highlighted indicator.
  

Step 5: Navigate and Playback Recorded Footage

• After selecting the camera and date, footage from the selected period will start loading.
• Use the timeline at the bottom of the screen to scroll left or right to select specific hours/minutes.
• The timeline may have coloured sections indicating recorded activity (e.g., continuous recording, motion detection, event recording).

Step 6: Adjust Playback Speed

• Use the controls provided (often near the timeline or playback screen) to adjust playback speed, allowing you to quickly skim through footage if needed.

Step 7: Download or Capture Footage (Optional)

• If you want to save or share a portion of the footage, tap the download or snapshot icon. Scroll to time required.
• The downloaded footage will save locally to your device’s photo gallery or within the app's album section.

Troubleshooting Common Issues:

• No Footage Found: Check if the selected date and camera channel are correct, and ensure your recorder has stored footage for that day.
• Playback Lagging or Slow: Check your internet connection and try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data for better performance.
• Cannot Access Playback Option: Ensure your account has playback permissions set up by your administrator or installer.

Following these steps will allow you to efficiently review recorded video footage through the Hik-Connect app.
